Kross Engine
The tech Sweet Dreams are made of.

The Beginning
Kross Engine's first iteration began in early 2021 when the three programmers of Unbox Studios decided to create a custom C++ Engine for their final year project for AIE's game programming course.

Initially ideas for the game were more oriented towards displaying the technology we wished to show: An editor, custom physics implementations and effective fluid simulation.

Particles of Fun
One of Kross engines main draws as an engine is its customizable fluid and physics implementation. The system can simulate a wide variety of liquids, sand, or even jelly, and implementation of this is a core feature in Sweet Dreams of Destruction as a means to create fun and engaging gameplay.
This was the first true liquid simulation that would eventually lead to more exciting physics implementations down the track.
